Under 17s Drawn away to Monaghan/Cavan FP in Shield First Round

sseDerry City U17s have been drawn away to Monaghan/Cavan FP in the first round of the end of season Shield competition.

Should Gary Duffy’s side defeat Monaghan/Cavan their reward will be a home tie in the quarter-finals against Drogheda United.

Derry and Monaghan/Cavan FP have clashed twice already this year, the Candy Stripes running out impressive 7-1 winners in April with the return meeting finishing in a 2-2 draw at Gortakeegan in August.

Sunday, October 16th

Drogheda United have been awarded a bye.
