Pat Fenlon resigned as Derry City manager on Tues 22nd May 2007 citing personal reasons.

Derry City lost 5-1 to Shamrock Rovers in a League fixture at Richmond Park.

Derry took the lead on 13 mins through a deflected Gary Beckett free kick but Rovers fought back to score five second half goals from Stephen Gough (2) and a hat-trick from James Keddy.

Derry City – Forde, McCallion, McCrystal, McLaughlin, Hutton, Friars, Doherty (McCready 85), Martyn, McGlynn, Beckett (Mullen 88), Moran (Gill 82).

Derry City defeated Finn Harps 4-0 in the second round of the F.A.I. Cup with goals from Stephen McLaughlin 2, Rory Patterson and Barry Molloy.

28 years ago Derry City striker Liam Coyle made his International debut for Northern Ireland in a one nil defeat to Chile at Windsor Park, Belfast. Coyle came on as a substitute for Jimmy Quinn on 64 minutes.
