ENDA McGUILL CUP 2nd ROUND FIXTURES CONFIRMED

Posted on Updated on

Derry City Under 19s have been handed a tough draw in the 2nd round of the Enda McGuill Cup.

The Candy Stripes will have home advantage against Southern Elite Division outfit UCD, in what is a repeat of the 2014/15 final. On that occasion, the Students prevailed in a five goal thriller at the Belfield Bowl, running out winners by three goals to two.

The only other meeting between these sides took place in October 2016 when a single strike from Simon Power, 15 minutes from time, secured a 1-0 win for the students at the quarter final stage of the National League.

UCD are currently leading the Southern Division with 21 points from ten games played.

Confirmation of the dates and times for the 2017 Enda McGuill Cup 2nd Round fixtures are below.

Current Derry City first team star, Ronan Curtis celebrates his goal in the 2014/15 Enda McGuill Cup final against UCD.
